Validating identitiy network error

Are there any other cases where @bekl can you fork loopback-sandbox and reproduce in the fork? What you're saying makes sense but I need to be able to reproduce the error (which I can't currently do with the example) before I can escalate this as a bug and get the fix in. everything seems to be working fine for me as long as you handle the case where there is an error with the email.

@richardpringle I could break down the problem to a mixin I'm using which prevents read-only properties from being updated.

I tried to open my project in visual studio online and selected my project then clicked "open in visual studio". If you have zero network connectivity, Visual Studio will report that you're disconnected rather than showing this error message.

This is no Loop Back issue, but one with the connector you're using and should be reported as a feature/enhancement request in the respective respository, sorry!

@bekl, so I can only reproduce your issue when I have an error logging into my smtp server.

If a self-signed certificate (or any certificate from an untrusted CA) is in use, most clients will reject the connection since they cannot validate the server's identity.

For troubleshooting purposes, server certificate validation can be disabled on one or multiple clients, allowing those clients to connect regardless of the certificate in use.

Until the maintainer changes the validation for using the new "nu"-validator-service or someone creates a pull-request, this grunt-plugin is useless.

This Error/Warning/Information event indicates that the AS2 receive pipeline or the AS2 send pipeline could not validate the AS2 message.

Are you running into the issue out of the box, is your smtp server working?

From what I've seen, as long as any errors are handled properly, it should work.

We will be focusing almost exclusively on the FIM Service and Portal components in this article and not talking to the FIM Sync service, Reporting or Certificate Management.

As we know the FIM Portal is based upon Share Point and installs into an existing site collection, thus Share Point is a pre-requisite for the FIM Portal.

This article discusses why this is important in a FIM deployment along with the key design considerations.
